Occupational Health and Safety

To ensure efficiency of production and good working relations, ABTS is committed to;

  • Enforce adherence to rules and regulations regarding the use of equipment and safety devices (nose masks, goggles, earplugs etc.) by all staff in order to reduce or prevent accident cases.
  • Educate and create awareness among staff to be able to identify, prevent and minimize potential industrial hazards such as noise nuisance and particulate matter emissions in the work environment.
  • Prevent or reduce exposure to potentially hazardous raw materials and dangerous substances by restricting their access to authorized employees only.
  • Employ various means to prevent or fight different degrees of fire e.g. use fire extinguishers, fire hydrants, sand buckets and fire tenders.
  • Educate management and the employees on the potential impact of releases into the environment and the implications when such substance exceed permissible limits.
  • Review this policy and the way in which it operates periodically and keep it up to date.

Environmental

  • Selecting workers to attend workshops, seminars and conferences involving relevant stakeholders with the aim of achieving real environmental standards.
  • Meet the requirements of EPA and all other regulatory agencies through the use of efficient technology; waste minimization and prevention; and good quality control practices.
